This "tic-tac" clock  has a "balanced spring" mechanic. A battery
powered motor winds up the main spring every 8 minutes.

            Have a look at the MOTOR REPAIR Procedure

   Detail:  Part of the clockwork is a mechanical timer, which
   -------  activiates the electrical contact to power the motor.
   The contacts are simple and have to be cleaned every quarter.
